I completed my PhD at UCSB, where I wrote a dissertation on 20th Century British Literature. I received my M.A. in Literature of English from Michigan State University in 2014, where I wrote a thesis on on 20th century British Literature. My B.A. is in English from UC Berkeley. I also have a minor in creative writing and studied French and Russian Literature.

Experience

Private tutor in English and writing for over 8 years. 7+ years teaching literature and college writing as an instructor and TA I've taught a wide range of literature classes on 19th and 20th British and American literature, introductory humanities classes for undergraduates, and advanced courses for English majors. As part of that, I've worked with students in groups and one-on-one on their writing and reading comprehension skills.

Hobbies

I am a passionate reader and enjoy writing in my spare time. I also love food and cooking and go to the farmers market weekly. I love to read cookbooks and take on projects like making jam and pickles. When I have time, I enjoy getting outside and enjoying all the natural beauty Santa Barbara has to offer. I also enjoy traveling and have been to many countries around the world. Some of the recent highlights have been trips to Colombia and Scotland.
