Kevin S.
Private tutor in Santa Barbara, CA
Education
Freshman Economics and Political Science double-major at UCSB, 3.9 GPA
Experience
I received a 2060 on my SAT (700 math, 710 writing, 650 critical reading), a 5 on the United States Government AP test, a 4 on both the English Composition and United States History AP tests, and a 3 on both the European History and Literature and Composition AP tests. Additionally, I scored in the 100 percentile on the California High School Exit Examination and UCSB's Calculus Placement Test. I tutored Elementary school students in math throughout my tenure in high school, usually in math. I want to be a tutor because no other job is anywhere near as rewarding. Not only is it great to get paid for something I'm good at and enjoy doing, but the opportunity to see another person growing as a direct result of my own time and effort is extremely fulfilling. I have experience leading others through the learning process from the time I served as the Editor-in-Chief of my high school's newspaper, The Tideline, as well as from my position as President of my school's Model United Nations club. I love being able to share the things that I know with other people, as well as being able to be taught new things along the way.
